Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

Africa is a paradoxical continent of great poverty in the midst of great abundance. The continent holds 30% of the world's natural resources but as of 2011, 47 percent of africans lived in extreme poverty. For Malawi, its land is its premier natural resource. Freshwater lakes cover 1/5th of the country and 60% of the dry land is arable. Further, it has a rapidly growing population of more than 17,000,000 people providing an abundant workforce opportunity.

However, bad practices, mismanagement, and poor education have resulted in a catastrophic failure of the agricultural sector to meet the needs of the country. As of 2016, the World Bank reported the GDP per capita at a mere $300.79.

The world's approach to this crisis is in the form of monetary aid. Billions of dollars have been poured into the country with negligible results on the fruitfulness of the country. Poverty continues to enslave the vast majority of the people.

For the people of Israel,  it was during the time of their wilderness wanderings that God provided them with their daily necessities. Like a father, He carried them. But the people of Israel were merely surviving. They were not in a place of blessing and abundance. However, it changed the day they entered the promised land. The miraculous provision ceased. Their sustenance now came from their own work. But an amazing thing happened: it was in their work that the blessing of God came upon them and Israel became a great nation. They were not great when they were being carried like a child. They became great when they became a grown man able to work and to live without outside support.

The purpose of this course is to train people how to live God-honoring lives on their own, to free themselves of the bondage of needing outside aid, and to teach them how to teach others (2 Timothy 2:1-2) to also be free.

"So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:31-32

Our goal is to enable people to understand the impact of a relationship with Jesus Christ  and to enable people to faithfully partner with their Creator in the stewardship of His amazing resources.
