We have a number of short courses in 2021 which are open for non-residential students.
Not every person have the funds or the time to go through the full Training for Trainers course. The individual courses are available for stand alone registration. Course dates are listed so pay attention to start and end dates of classes when registering. We also present in-house training on request.

Foundations for Farming
This course will take you back to the way God created things in the beginning. It will reveal the timeless principles at work in nature which makes the echo system a sustainable environment where plants, insects and all other creatures are thriving. We will then look at how we can apply these principles on our land in a practical and profitable way. This is a detailed but practical study of conservation agriculture.

Compost making
Turning waste into profit!
During the process of composting micro-organisms break down organic matter producing a relatively stable organic end product which can replace synthetic fertilizer and is very cheap to make. Compost making was never as relevant as now, with fertilizer prices sky-rocketing and unaffordable for most subsistence farmers.

Vegetable production
During this course you will learn about growing vegetable organically, the laying out of a vegetable garden, soil preparation, natural ways of pest and disease control, crop rotation and more. This is an excellent course to get the student on the path of becoming a responsible and profitable vegetable farmer.

Agroforestry
During this one one day course you will learn about the incorporation of legumes trees into your cropping area for an increased yield biomass and firewood production.

Oyster mushroom production
During this one one day course you will acquire the necessary skills to start growing oyster mushrooms. The content covers what facility is needed, how to prepare substrate, how to grow, harvest and sell oyster mushrooms. The course is very hands on and practical.

Beekeeping
During this one one day course you will learn about bee colonies, roles of different bees, simple top bar hive construction, attracting bees to the hive and harvesting and extracting honey. Students will wear a bee suit and get practical experience working with bees.

Farm Business training
This course covers the proper motivation for a profitable farm, adding basic technical skills to do so. It covers measurement of the land, creating a budget, determining market needs and planning to meet that need, measuring profitability, and responsible accounting.

Money Map training
This course will take you on an exciting journey towards financial freedom. The Money Map workbook will introduce you to Henry, Grace and their children who are on this journey together. Character First!
What is Character: The qualities built into an individual’s life that determine his or her response, regardless of circumstances. There is a greater need for character in our world than ever before. Daily life is a great place to build character, but we must be careful about letting our character develop by chance, for that places far too much control in the hands of our environment and the people around us. The goal of Character First! is to help individuals and organizations take responsibility for their personal character growth.
